Play me, im yours
June 2018
I recently had the privilege to work along side film director Dean Anderson and film producer Megan Anderson based in Leeds on their upcoming project of 'Play me, I'm Yours'. The film is about a young but very talented girl who plays the piano but unfortunately she is homeless and lives in her small tent on the street. She attends an audition to play the piano for top performers however her audition doesn't exactly go to plan until one day, she is heard playing in the train station and her luck changes.
For this project, I wrote the piece which the young girl plays in the train station. I took inspiration from Giovanni Allevi's piano song called 'Aria' as we decided that we wanted something soft but uplifting for the films piece.
I went into the studios at Leeds College of Music where my good friend Brendan Ashmore recorded the track for us at the end of May this year. The filming took place over the course of around a week in various areas of Leeds City Centre including Victoria Quarter and Howard Assembly halls above the Grand Theatre.
Here are a few photos I'd like to share throughout my journey participating with the Play me, I'm yours project!

New job!!
October 2018
I have got a new job! And it's at my old music school where I used to have piano lessons myself. I am the newest piano teacher at the school! I will be working part time at the school, just two days a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays where I will be teaching piano and keyboard to children and adults. I am super excited to be joining the team at Blackpool Music Academy as it has come full circle for me after having lessons with them since I was 10 years old. John, who is the founder of BMA has been so welcoming to me joining the team which has made me feel even more at ease and I look forward to meeting all the other tutors at the school! You can visit the schools website at www.blackpoolmusicacademy.co.uk

vocal and piano duo
October 2018
I have recently teamed up with Chloe Hart, who is the vocal teacher at Blackpool Music Academy and we have been rehearing a few songs for gigs together! I met Chloe for the first time through the schools founder, John, and we started rehearsing straight away for an upcoming concert which the school was holding for their annual variety show.
I uploaded a video of me and Chloe rehearsing 'Say a little prayer' by Aretha Frankling on instagram. Click the button below to watch a short clip!
blackpool music school variety show
October 2018
It's my first time participating in Blackpool Music School's annual variety show this year! I have spent the past couple of weeks rehearing some songs with vocal teacher at the school, Chloe Hart, in preparation for playing a small set at the variety show.
This years annual variety show was held at the Stanley conservative club in Blackpool and it was so much fun and lovely to see all our younger students perform also. The show consisted of Blackpool music schools 'rockschool' which featured many of our young students performing as a band, singing playing the keys, guitar, bass and drums, myself and Chloe and some tribute acts such as George Formby. There was also a raffle with fabulous prizes to be won such as guitars, keyboards, wine, chocolates and more!
Here are a few photos from the event including a news article which featured in the Blackpool Gazette.

Ariana Grande Cover - Video
November 2018
Ariana Grande is one of my favourite artists, so what better cover to do than an Ariana song? Me and Chloe - vocalist - rehearsed a rendition of one of Ariana's older songs called 'Almost is never enough'. Click the button below to view the video I uploaded of us playing this song on instagram!
Christmas and new year gigs
December 2018
Over the festive period, I have been performing at various venues around Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, Preston and Garstang. I have performed christmas songs such as White Christmas, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, Winter wonderland, Jingle bell rock and many more for the guests to enjoy and have a sing along to this Christmas! The places I have performed at this month are Conrmill Nursing home - Garstang/Preston, The Willows care home - Blackpool, The Hamptons - Lytham St Annes, Chequers Plaza Hotel - Blackpool, Alexandra Court - Thornton Clevelys.
Performing at the care home's has definitely been my favourite venues to perform at as it was such a joy to bring some lively entertainment to the elderly and have them all singing along to all the Christmas songs. A few of the places have invited me back to perform for them again in the new year which I obviously look forward to again!
Here are a few photos from the different places I have been performing at this month.
